Joy Lin
President & Co-Founder
Joy Lin has built her career exploring a single question: how can technology help people learn, perform, and make better decisions?
A software engineer, technology executive, and U.S. patent holder, Joy has spent more than 15 years designing enterprise software that helps organizations develop workforce capability through active learning, practice, coaching, role-play, and measurable performance outcomes. Her approach is grounded in the same evidence-based active learning methodology that powers REACHUM—refined through hundreds of thousands of learner interactions and years of measuring how people actually build competence, not simply complete courses.
Before founding REACHUM, Joy developed software solutions for organizations including Image Plant, McCann Health, and Click-Video, the company that evolved into the REACHUM platform. Throughout her career she has contributed to projects for many of the world’s most demanding organizations, including Shire, QuadGraphics, USGA, Johnson & Johnson corporate and seven of its operating companies, McKesson, Reuben H. Donnelley, and more than 160 retail brands.
Joy has extensive experience designing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services, with more than fifteen years of hands-on AWS architecture and development experience. She also leads REACHUM’s participation in the Claude Partner Network, where she works at the intersection of enterprise AI, knowledge management, learning technology, and agentic workflows. She is completing certification as a Claude Certified Architect.
She is the inventor of a key U.S. patent that enables synchronized learner activities during live online instruction, technology that helped establish new approaches to highly interactive virtual learning environments.
Joy writes about artificial intelligence, enterprise software architecture, learning technology, cloud infrastructure, analytics, instructional design, and the future of workplace performance. Her articles emphasize practical implementation over hype, helping organizations understand how modern AI and cloud technologies can improve learning, simplify enterprise architecture, and deliver measurable business results.
Outside of technology, Joy has served as an active board member of a children’s charitable organization and believes that technology is most valuable when it empowers people to learn, grow, and perform with confidence.
